Responsible Sourcing of Minerals Policy
Part of mineral trading in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has become local armed rebel groups’ main source of revenue. It has caused and prolongs a serious armed conflict that has attracted the attention of the international community. Yucel Elektrik Elektronik Oto.Ins.Tur.San.ve Tic.Ltd.Sti’s Policy on Conflict Minerals outlines our commitment and our expectations on our suppliers to respect and support our activities around the issue of conflict minerals.

1. Yucel Elektrik Elektronik Oto.Ins.Tur.San.ve Tic.Ltd.Sti is committed to not use conflict minerals identified as having been derived from tantalum, tin, tungsten and gold that directly or indirectly funds armed groups that are perpetrators of serious human rights abuses in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the adjoining countries (Angola, Burundi, Central African Republic, Republic of Congo, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia).

2.Yucel Elektrik Elektronik Oto.Ins.Tur.San.ve Tic.Ltd.Sti expects its suppliers to adhere to this policy and not use conflict minerals.

Using CMRT is not only good for the suppliers managing conflict minerals, but also making it easier for us to get conflict minerals information of suppliers. Through the survey reporting of conflict minerals in the supply chain, we recognize a smelter/refiners list with the name and location of the smelters/refiners of tantalum, tin, tungsten, and gold that was identified in our supply chain, then publish this list. It is belong to a part of Yucel Elektrik Elektronik Oto.Ins.Tur.San.ve Tic.Ltd.Sti expects its suppliers to adhere to this policy and not use conflict minerals.’s conflict minerals due diligence efforts. Supplier Requirement

Yucel Elektrik Elektronik Oto.Ins.Tur.San.ve Tic.Ltd.Sti communicates the following expectations to its suppliers with respect to the responsible sourcing of minerals:


Yucel Elektrik Elektronik Oto.Ins.Tur.San.ve Tic.Ltd.Sti suppliers must conduct their operations in a socially and environmentally responsible way.

Yucel Elektrik Elektronik Oto.Ins.Tur.San.ve Tic.Ltd.Sti suppliers are expected to make sure that the products they are supplying to Yucel Elektrik Elektronik Oto.Ins.Tur.San.ve Tic.Ltd.Sti are DRC conflict-free and do not contain metals derived from minerals that directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or an adjoining country. These minerals include tantalum, tin, tungsten and gold.

Yucel Elektrik Elektronik Oto.Ins.Tur.San.ve Tic.Ltd.Sti suppliers shall exercise due diligence based on national or international recognized standards or guidance on the source and chain of custody of these minerals (such as the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas) and make their due diligence measures available to Yucel Elektrik Elektronik Oto.Ins.Tur.San.ve Tic.Ltd.Sti upon request. These measures shall include the completion of the EICC/GeSI Due Diligence Template tool and the support of the EICC/GeSI Conflict-Free Smelter (CFS) Program.
